Washington Post Confirms 'Deep Throat' ID -
ABSOLUTELY FASCINATING.
Here is the article in the Washington Post. that has Woodward and Berstein confirm it.
I had always heard they were going to wait until Deep Throat passed away before revealing who he was..... Guess he decided to fess up figuring at the age of 91, he'd just about had it anyway. Plus the cynic in me thinks maybe his kids can benefit financially off of this so he did it now to gain interview money.
So much for those of us who thought it was Buchanon, or Kissinger, or Rehnquist...or John Dean, anybody else who has been mentioned over the years. So much for the conspiracy theoreists who said Deep Throat was merely a literary device and not an actual person. Gordon Liddy being one of those who felt he didn't exist.
#2 guy at the FBI W. Mark Felt is Deep Throat .... that's a pretty good source. And one that is still alive. Currently taking bets on how long before he appears on every news network in the country. MAGNIFICENTLY FASCINATING.

Must just be me, but for some reason I've never been able to work up a shred of passion about Watergate.
Odd, because history titilates me in all its forms, with the exception of the role lepers played in feudal Japan.
Something about Watergate just leaves me cold.
