Modano is U.S. captain at hockey World Championships
Mike Modano is the embodiment of United States hockey, is the best player in Minnesota/Dallas Stars history and now is the captain of the United States National Team. He sure is a wonderful guy to root for.
On a sidenote, Richard Matvichuk is a guy that's really easy not to root for.

At least Rich Matvichuk has never gotten hopped up on pain killers and beer and then pointed at you and laughed while saying "Look everyone! It's Harry Potter!!!" over and over and over again...
